Well the numbers have been cleaned, sifted and crunched and we can now look at how the local market has performed in the 2014 financial year. We will drill down into the individual suburbs and Macmasters Beach in coming weeks but for now we can advise.
- The median house price across the Killcare Peninsula rose 20.1% to $835,000 (up from $695,000 in FY 2013).
- The average house price rose 12.7% to $936,574 (up from $830,781).
- There were 74 sales in the 2014 FY compared to 64 the previous year, an increase of 15.6%.
- The total value of all houses sold increased 30.3% to $69.3m (up from $53.2m).
The main driver in this result was the continued strengthening at the top end of the market. There were 28 sales above $1m in the 2014 FY compared to 13 in 2013. There were also 3 sales above $2m compared to 1 the year before.
