Housing Turnover on the Killcare Peninsula

By Warwick Davis

According to the RBA while housing turnover varies over time, on average, around 6 per cent of the housing stock nationally, or around 500,000 dwellings, change ownership each year. How does the Killcare Peninsula compare to this ?
Over the last decade 705 sales have occurred amongst the 1,540 properties, which is a turnover rate of 4.6%. The breakdown by suburb is as follows;

  • Wagstaffe 5.6%
  • Pretty Beach 5.4%
  • Killcare Heights 5.3%
  • Hardys Bay 4.5%
  • Killcare 3.4%

Whilst this indicates people are pretty happy with their property, it’s a harder than average place for a real estate agent to make a living !
