A Snapshot from the Past

A friend of Ray White Killcare, Allan Steward of Copacabana, was good enough to drop in with this photograph of what he remembers as Pretty Beach holiday houses in the 1940’s or 50’s. It looks like it may be a Wagstaffe waterfront to us, possibly at the Pretty Beach end of Wagstaffe Avenue. If anyone can shed more light on this we would love to hear from you !

It appears the photograph was an early form of brochure as it has the seasonal tariffs hand written on the back of the photograph along with the many attractions of staying at the properties such as, large lawn, quoits, cards, fishing, swimming, minature golf, library, a fuel stove and my personal favourite “excursion to The Entrance”. Times have changed…
